Diary, August 10, 1862-October 30, 1863.

Beginning with his enlistment, part diary, part recollection some months after the fact, with some gaps in the account. Describes travels by railroad, boat, and foot as a soldier, as well as camp life, the Battle of Chickamauga, and some maneuvers around Chattanooga. Diary ends October 30, 1863. Includes annotated transcription by Martin's great granddaughter.
